Newhaven / Le Havre
LD Lines has launched a new daily summer link – running from 1 May to 30 September – connecting Newhaven and Le Havre.
Only 80 miles apart (less than 150 km), Newhaven and Le Havre are, respectively, the British port nearest to London, a stone’s throw from the famous seaside resort of Brighton, and the largest French port on the Western Channel coast.
Offering daily departure at 20:00 from Le Havre arriving at midnight in Newhaven and departing at 12:30 from Newhaven arriving at 18:30 in Le Havre the Newhaven to Le Havre ferry service is already very popular.
The crossing takes place on board an extremely quick and comfortable new ship – the Seven Sisters – chartered from LD Ferry Lines sister company Transmanche Ferries.

The Seven Sisters
Launched in 2006, the Seven Sisters is a superb new ship, capable of speeds of up to 22 knots (more than 40 km/h). It is equipped with ultra-modern stabilizers and therefore offers optimum comfort whatever the sailing conditions.

The Sorrento
Speed and comfort are guaranteed on board the Sorrento car ferry which, thanks to a cruising speed of 22 knots, makes the crossing in excellent time!
The Sorrento has a wide range of amenities: a self-service restaurant, a lounge bar, a cinema, a shop, a games room and a Sun Deck bar.
Built in Italy in 2003, the Sorrento is an ultra-modern ro-ro cargo-passenger ship. Accommodation includes 62 reclining chairs and 93 inside or window cabins (including two suites and two cabins for people with reduced mobility), all with toilet, shower and air-con.
186 metres long and 25,6 metres wide, with a tonnage of 26,000 GT, the Sorrento has a freight capacity of 2,230 linear metres for rolling stock and 160 cars. It can carry up to 820 passengers.
